Season |
Every season the DHSHA association
receives questions regarding, the association JV program,
whether or not 8th
graders will be allowed to play.
This upcoming season we have the
potential for an even larger number of players available for the
2008-2009 season's selection process. To help individuals choose
their options, it is important to understand how the JV teams
will be selected.
- Teams will be selected in
early November as USA Hockey teams end and play begins in
the CHC league.
- Players will be evaluated
based on their skating and playing abilities, times and
location to be determined.
- If there are more players
than available roster spots, and all other criteria being
equal, additional criteria will be used to finalize the
DHSHA rosters.
Criteria includes:

Players will be expected to make a full time playing
commitment to their DHSHA team

Students that are enrolled and attending a Dublin public
school will have priority for roster spots

High
school players will have priority for roster spots over 8th
graders
Over the summer the DHSHA association will be hosting a number
of skating opportunities for players to continue to develop
their skating and playing skills. Those dates will be posted on
our web site soon. These sessions are not mandatory, but players
are encouraged to attend.
